Heather is a Bathurst based artist with studios in O'Connell and Bathurst. Heather works in textiles and mixed media, using woven tapestry and works on paper to respond to themes ranging from Place, the palimpsests, and the landlines of the topography of place. More recently she has been exploring the internal landscapes we curate in our own environments. Heather has participated in Artist In Residence programs in Hill End, Fremantle (WA), Oatlands (TAS), and the Nancy Fairfax AIR space at the Tweed Regional Gallery.
These times away give her the opportunity to focus on her practice, and respond to the environment and history of the area. Heather has held solo exhibitions each year since 2013, and is currently represented by Nationwide Curating. Her art is in the collections of the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, Lachlan Health District, and private collections in Australia and the United States. |
